The Third Eye,
which I’m sure you’ve heard used liberally as to say the second sight or the sight beyond the veil, originates in Sanskrit as the Ajna Chakra (Third Eye Chakra). The Third Eye Chakra connects you with your truest sight within yourself where you are able to create your reality by using your perception for either positive outcomes or not so. It also can be known as your intuition, as well as assisting some in seeing the paranormal such as energy imprints, auras, and spirits. If you have trouble connecting with your intuition leading to trouble making guided discernment in your life, or have a poor outlook on life and feel victimized and trapped by your mind your Third Eye Chakra could use a tune up. Being that the Third Eye Chakra is located in between your brow within the Pineal Gland, the energy permeates the surrounding tissues. If the energy in this area is blocked or dulled it could cause dysfunction in your mental clarity, memory, ability to sleep soundly, overall hormone production, eyesight issues, and sinus issues. Basically, since the life force energy that your cells dance to is not flowing, your cells aren’t going to be dancing, in fact they instead will take a seat and stop doing what they do best. The Ajna Chakra resonates at the frequency of the color indigo, like the vast and starry night sky on an unclouded evening.
The mantra that corresponds to the Third Eye Chakra is “AUM.” (more widely known as “OM”). Chanting this mantra 108 times along with doing the following exercise will center you back into a space of insight, and allow you to step into the control panel of your life where you can direct and coordinate the way which you will perceive all that unfolds.
Exercise: Visualizing as you breath in and out, an indigo lotus flower unfolding and blossoming from your center brow. On every in breath you visualize oxygen pouring up into your sinuses and to your brow cleaning out the area with new life force. On the out breath chant “AUM” and imagine all that no longer serves you leaving with your breath. As the breath releases, see how the indigo lotus flower becomes brighter and brighter. Do this 108 times using Mala beads, or until your lotus flower is shining vibrantly and your Third Eye feels cleansed and renewed.
Essential oils can be an excellent tool in anointing the physical body and simultaneously clearing any blockages in your energy by stimulating feelings relating to the chosen aroma. The olfactory gland is responsible for two things, smell and memory. With this connection, aroma can trigger reactions in the brain and create feelings of crystal clarity. Sold at your local health food store or apothecary, I recommend trying Lemon, Pine, Clary Sage, Geranium, and Cypress.
Exercise: Carry one of these essential oils with you throughout your day and when you feel mental fog, or inability to connect with your intuition to make a decision drop 1 drop into your palms and inhale deeply for 5 seconds, then exhale for a count of 5 seconds. Repeat this 7 times or until your brow center feels clear and purified. You can also purchase an essential oil diffuser and allow the aroma to fill your home or office.
Mastery of the Third Eye Chakra comes from “spiritualizing the energy center” as Cyndi Dale, author of “The Complete Book of Chakra Healing” has stated. This means that through the tasks of the Third Eye Chakra such as witnessing the insight given to you by your own innate ability of knowing and creating your happiness by perceiving life how you wish it to be, you are able to find a sense of connection to spirit by doing and learning from these lessons.
